Andy and Brian’s Top 10: Characters We Wanted to See More of

It’s easy to love the main characters from a movie. Even the sidekicks and love interests. However, it’s those really memorable minor characters that leave us talking about the film for years to come. In honor of all of them, we’ve decided to make our list the Top Ten Characters We Wanted to See More Of. See who made the list!

10. Ned Ryerson- Groundhog Day
Sure, it’s easy to hate on Ned Ryerson. But you love to hate him. Plus, not only would more of Ned Ryerson make us happy, his longer appearance on-screen would have provided Bill Murray with a lot more comedic material.
9. Pit Droids- Star Wars Episode I
Ok, true. Not a “character” per se. But the pit droids from Star Wars deserved much more screen time! They’re cute, they’re functional, they can retract ala “Wall-E”, and they even had their own video game!
8. Louis Tully- Ghostbusters
Who doesn’t love the goofy lawyer from Ghostbusters? But to be perfectly honest… We think Rick Moranis deserves more screen time in ANY film he’s in. He’s the perfect dork you can’t help but love.
7. David Wooderson- Dazed and Confused
“That’s what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age”. Need we say more? I guarantee he would have given us more quotable gold like this if we had stuck around longer with the character.
6. Blue- Old School
It was a true tragedy that Blue had to die. Getting into all kinds of shenanigans at his age? We had nothing but respect for him. Well, at least he died doing what he loved most… Wrestling with naked ladies.
5. Bill Murray- Space Jam
It’s no secret by now that we love Bill Murray. Now add to that already unconditional love the fact that he helps Michael Jordan defeat the Monstars in the most important game of basketball in history! Sold! We were just sad he had so little screen time.
4. Mariachis- Nacho Libre
By far the best sequence in the film. This trio of Mariachis delivers pure comedy without even fully speaking english! Besides, what if keeping them in the film longer would have given us another hilarious impromptu song from Jack Black?!
3. Two-Face- The Dark Knight
Might seem like an obvious choice. Still, he definitely deserves this spot on our list. We still feel like we didn’t get enough of two-face. Don’t get me wrong, Harvey Dent was a great character throughout the entire film. But that small peek at Two-Face just had us hankering for more.
2. Underminer- The Incredibles
We understand that it was just a good way to end an amazing film. However, we stand by the fact that the underminer would have made for a great villain! He had the look for it, and already had a catchphrase! He would have been perfect to jumpstart the sequel.
1. Jesus- The Big Lebowski
He said it best when he stated, “Nobody f***s with the Jesus”. We just wish we could have seen more of him dancing in that skin tight purple suit.
What do you think? Any great characters missing?
